Health Care Assistant - Tracheostomy care 

Location: Walsall area

£10 - £15 per hour

Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young people?

Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking an experienced Health Care Assistants to support a young boy with complex care needs, at his home in Walsall.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

This is a great role where you will be supporting a toddler within his educational setting, play setting and also at home.

He loves going to his local soft play centre, having fun and enjoying toddler life.

He has a muscle weakening condition and his complex care needs include but are not limited to tracheostomy care, Nasogastric tube (NG tube) care, personal care.

Playtime and fun are an important part of this role and a genuine interest in working with children and young people is essential.

Essential Experience Required 

  • Tracheostomy Care (specifically with children)
  • Ventilation Management
  • 6 months previous care experience 
  • Medication Administration  
  • Personal Care 
  • Moving and Handling 

Desirable Experience

  • Nasogastric Care
  • Cough Assist
  • Oral Suctioning
  • Oxygen Administration

We have several shifts available:
Days - 7am - 5pm
