Reporting directly to the Managing Director this is an exciting opportunity for a high performing individual. This role has great promotional prospects and will be supported with a full time Deputy.

As Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day Operational and Clinical aspects of Pacific Care Limited. You will also be actively involved in driving the business forward over the next 5 years to achieve its growth objectives.

You will work alongside and lead the Senior Management team to ensure the safe and effective provision of care to all service users and all health and safety responsibilities are achieved. You will achieve full regulatory and statutory compliance whilst meeting set operational and commercial goals.
As the Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the care team and care standards, you will set objectives, appraise performance and actively provide development training for the provision of excellent standards of quality care.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and already be working within a Senior Operational or Clinical Director Level position preferably within the residential and specialist care sector.

You will require relevant experience in leading a care team and have experience in day to day operational aspects of a Care Home Business and will be directly accountable for all operational outcomes across Pacific Care’s portfolio.

You will have excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills and will be able to use resources and your own time to work effectively, thinking creatively to solve problems and to overcome obstacles. You will be positive and engaging and competently represent the company and maintain/develop positive relations with external stakeholders.

You will be able to build strong working relationships to develop appropriate strategies to ensure the workforce meets its current and future regulatory requirements. Dynamic, flexible, punctual, and reliable, you will have a proven history of being committed to the career path you have chosen.

Duties

  • Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate continuous professional and practice development initiatives in-line with Pacific Cares’ strategic aims
  • Support and develop a culture of practice development through training or research to the broader quality agenda
  • Ensure the provision of professional support and leadership to enable effective, safe and efficient operation of clinical service delivery
  • Ensure care standards meet care inspectorate regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date on knowledge of all relevant legislation regarding the delivery of care for the older person.

Operational / Managerial


  • Provide monthly reports for the Board to have oversight of Care Quality & operations concerns within the Company
  • Ensuring that all company targets are achieved and looking at ways in which to improve any weak areas of the business. Prepare timely performance reports for MD on progress towards strategic objectives, occupancy targets, KPI’s and the overall operational and commercial performance of the company.
  • Ensure that wages are analysed on a 4 weekly basis and take any action required to ensure budgets are being achieved
  • Act as a positive role model to promote team working, respect and excellence in service delivery
  • Collaborate with the Directors on issues such as clinical audit, promoting evidence based best practice, clinical risk management, research along with education and training
  • Preparation of Policy and Procedures in line with all relevant legal requirements
  • Carry out all relevant and necessary clinical audits at the care facilities and then complete relevant audit registers

Essential


  • NMC registered nurse
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven to achieve results, set goals and improve standards
  • Experience in team management
  • 10 years’ experience in care service management
  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Current and Satisfactory PVG Scheme record
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Full, Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Skilled in Policy Development
  • Managers Award or equivalent management qualification
  • Quality Assurance Experience
