Job Description

You will be required to provide physical and emotional support to individuals and their families. To facilitate independence by working in a dignified and respectful way. 


Care Delivery 

  • Assist patients with hygiene and personal care, including brushing teeth, bathing, using the restroom and dressing. 
  • Maintain a clean and organised space for optimal patient comfort by completing tasks such as changing linens, sanitising medical equipment and performing basic household cleaning. 
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists or medical professionals to assist in administering medications, checking vitals and monitoring well-being.
  • Analyse patient health and well-being, and immediately report any concerning changes to a supervisor or medical professional.
  • Promote equality, acknowledge individual differences and uphold people's rights. 


Administrative

  • You will be expected to attend all training as required. 
  • Ensure others are not at risk and attend work reliably and punctually.
  • Your work will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. 
  • You will be expected to achieve skills and qualifications appropriate to your role.  
  • Keep up to date with policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation.

  • An ability to independently develop your own skills and knowledge. 


Experience 

Experience providing support within a busy environment.
