Care Worker - West & East Dumbarton areas

We are recruiting for an outgoing, enthusiastic and experienced Care workers to provide care and socialisation support in the West and East Dumbarton areas.

Experience in the Care Industry is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. Driving licence and use of a car is required for commuting between service users.

Shift Pattern - Week 1 - Monday, Thursday, Friday; Week 2 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday.

·         driving licence and use of your own car preferred for commuting between service users

·         ability to work independently but also be able to contribute strongly as part of an operational team

·         caring, positive disposition, demonstrating reliability, honesty and integrity

·         proven to be a role model to others and demonstrate ability to lead by example

·         excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         strong decision-making skills

·         teaching daily living skills like budgeting, shopping and claiming benefits

·         carry out all aspects of personal care, assisting with feeding, bathing, washing and dressing (depending on service)

·         providing leisure and creative activities in a safe and supportive setting

·         going out in the community with the service user to their local clubs or social activities ie. cinema, bowling, eating out etc.

·         record keeping on all charts (feeding, activity etc.)

·         following care plans
