Support Worker | Shrewsbury
£8.72 per hour
We are looking for support workers to join our fantastic person-centred support team in Bridgnorth.
16 Hours per week + sleep in's
This post will be supporting an individual who has autism; routine and rituals are really important to this person. The user of the service will often spend time on their computer in their study doing research and playing games such as Scrabble. This person likes music especially 80’s and 90’s music and has an extensive knowledge of chart music. Sometimes this individual will interact with you but often you will be lone working in their home on a 1:1 basis.
This person needs support with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, finance and medication.
The successful candidate will be calm, caring, supportive and be able to listen. You will need to be kind and considerate, ensure you do your best and to be ready when the user of the service is ready to talk to you. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be ‘Person-centred’ You will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to the needs of the people we support and the organisation.
Experience of working with individuals who have a learning disability and Autism is desirable, however we will provide full training to ensure you have the right tools and support.
