Support Worker

£0.45 of travel allowance

We are looking for motivated, fun and proactive individuals who can support groups of young people with Additional Support Needs.

This is an exciting support role supporting young post-school adults with additional support needs.

The role is to support groups to socialise with them in our spaces, in the community and events.

Understanding of social care and meeting individual needs is essential. Confidence of facilitating and support groups.

 
Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships
• To be an effective ambassador in all activities 
• Work effectively both on your own and as part of a larger team.
• Develop strong teamwork, effective communication & value diversity
• Provide individual care and support to people
• Help with forging/maintaining community links
• Organise time and resources reflecting the individual needs of service users
• Promote equality, acknowledge individual differences and uphold peoples’ rights

Administrative:

·         You will be expected to attend all training as required

·         Ensure others are not at risk and attend work reliably and punctually

·         Keep up to date with policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation
